Summary
This two-day course introduces diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the prevention of respiratory and cardiac arrest in infants and children. Participants will learn techniques for assessing the child at risk, as well as the resuscitation skills required to manage these patients. The course includes sessions relating to newborn resuscitation, respiratory failure, shock and cardiac rhythm disturbances, and case based scenarios for the application and integration of knowledge and skills. This course is designed for registered healthcare professionals.

Prerequisites
This course is for physicians and allied healthcare professionals currently responsible for the care of critically ill pediatric patients.
This includes, RNs, LPNs, NPs, Medical Doctors, Primary Care Paramedics, Advanced Care Paramedics, Critical Care Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, etc.
You must have Heart & Stroke BLS certification that is current.
You must also have a current PALS certification.
