Summary
This two-day course introduces diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the prevention of respiratory and cardiac arrest in infants and children. Participants will learn techniques for assessing the child at risk, as well as the resuscitation skills required to manage these patients. The course includes sessions relating to newborn resuscitation, respiratory failure, shock and cardiac rhythm disturbances, and case based scenarios for the application and integration of knowledge and skills. This course is designed for registered healthcare professionals.

Prerequisites
Prerequisites: Current Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card. Current registration as a healthcare professional including physicians, paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists, dentists and military levels QL5 and above.
